Description | Fishskin. Mostly natural color skin with yellow, red and blue design. Colored bands of caribou intestines appliqued on. Brownish applique at neck with white scroll design, made by letting fishskin show through cuts in applique, outlined in red. Shoulders have blue applique (faded) outlined in red. Upper sleeves encircled by blue stripe. Sleeve hems have blue, yellow and thin red stripe. Pattern repeated at coat hem. Sides of coat have black appliques with white scroll work, decorated with blue and red stitching. Made in panels with small heart shaped motifs sewn at intervals giving a patchwork effect. |
