Description

Tan Ch'in, violin. Body of bamboo. Neck of three joints of bamboo. Two tuning pegs and two strings. Top of body covered with skin, painted to represent snake skin and fixed with a band of red and gilt cloth glued around the top of the body. Bow missing. Bridge missing.
