Description | Cf. 29-50-649. Without bottom fringe. Looped wicker ornament around rim. Sawfish ornament, terminating in wicker wheel behind. Similar ornament with discs of corklike wood attached in position of ears. Narrow wooden man-parrot mask. Carved wooden head, inlaid pearl shell eyes, painted black, red and white in curvelinear designs. Exaggerated brow and nose. Has grotesquely extended upper lip with protruding tongue. Holes for attachment. |
