Description | Navy blue plaid cotton jaspe. White pin-stripe check overlaid with jaspe strips. Corte is 8 varos used mostly for cofradias. Chinames (people who participate in cofradia) Used in Coban, Tactic, and San Cristobal. Verapaz. As per Sigrid Meier, "Warp: 44 epi, single, Z twist, navy and white cotton. Two singles, Z twist, navy and white jaspe. Weft: 36 ppi, single, Z twist, white, navy, white/navy jaspe cotton. Balanced plain weave. Supplementary weft is two singles, Z twist, white cotton overshot. Woven on a floor loom." |
